342 Patterns and predictors of NIAMS funding for early career researchers

Both basic and clinical research are important for advancing science public health, the NIH has been working to increase support investigators performing research. Our objective was evaluate distribution of mentored career development awards in dermatology compare it other specialties funded by National Institute Arthritis Musculoskeletal Skin Disease (NIAMS). We collected data on K08 K23 from NIAMS through publicly available Reporter database classified these as dermatology, musculoskeletal, or rheumatology across specialties. also award recipients men women according gender pronouns used institutional biographies.
